From 27 to 28 January 2024, offline training for the March 2024 National Socio-Economic Survey (SUSENAS) was held at the Grand Bayu Hill Hotel, Takengon, which had previously been held online for 3 days. This activity was opened directly by Acting. The Regent of Bener Meriah, Drs. Haili Yoga, M.Si., which was also attended by the Head of the Bener Meriah Bappeda, Mr. Alfahmi, ST, MAP and the Head of the Bener Meriah Village Community Empowerment Service (DPMK), Mr. Ismail, SE, M.Si as a form of regional government support in the implementation susenas.
Head of BPS Bener Meriah Regency, Devi Indriastuti, SST, M.Si, in his speech said that the National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) produces data which is used as a benchmark for the socio-economic conditions of households in Indonesia. Susenas as the Mother of Surveys for BPS produces socio-economic indicators which are used for many purposes. Planning and evaluation of national development programs through ministerial/institutional policies often depend on the results of Susenas as their source of information.
From Susenas, three data are produced which are national development targets, namely poverty, Gini ratio, and Human Development Index (HDI). Apart from that, Susenas data is also used as an evaluation of the achievements of sustainable development goals (TPB) indicators, National and Regional Medium Term Development Plans (RPJMN/D) and basic data for other policies.
Susenas data is so strategic, data collection officers are required to understand each question and be able to communicate it to respondents appropriately, so that the implementation of officer training is very important so that officers who will later go into the field can understand the concept of definitions so as to produce accountable data.
