Socialization of Evaluation of Implementation of Sectoral Statistics

Socialization of Evaluation of Implementation of Sectoral Statistics

February 29, 2024 | Other Activities

On Thursday, February 29 2024 at the BAPPEDA Hall of Bener Meriah Regency, BPS Bener Meriah Regency held a socialization on the 2024 Sectoral Statistics Implementation Evaluation (EPSS) activities. Participants who attended were Heads of Departments or Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) in Bener Meriah Regency.

This event was opened by Acting. The Regent of Bener Meriah, Drs. Haili Yoga, M.Si, represented by Acting. Bener Meriah regional secretary, Khairmansyah, S.IP, M.Sc. This activity was held in order to improve the quality of sectoral statistical data in Bener Meriah Regency. In his direction, Acting. Regional Secretary Bener Meriah said that to prevent program interventions from being mistargeted, accurate data is needed in Regional Development Planning.
After that, the Head of Bappeda, Alpahmi, ST conveyed about the implementation of One Data Indonesia (SDI) in Bener Meriah. He also touched on the need for data in the 2025-2045 Regional Long Term Development Plan (RPJPD). A lot of data is needed and some of it is still not fulfilled. For this reason, collaboration between all of us is needed to fulfill data that is not yet available from each OPD.
Head of BPS Bener Meriah Regency, Devi Indriastuti, S.ST, M.Si then spoke about the implementation of EPSS 2024. She started by conveying the importance of data for planning and evaluation. In fulfilling regional and national data/statistical needs, BPS cannot act alone. In the course of development, the data needed is often at a small level, such as village/district. BPS cannot fulfill this due to methodological limitations. For this reason, there needs to be a role for local governments to participate in meeting data needs by carrying out data collection activities such as surveys or what are called sectoral statistics. The implementation of sectoral statistics is then evaluated in EPSS activities.

The result of EPSS is the Statistical Development Index (IPS) which describes the maturity level of implementing sectoral statistics in Bener Meriah Regency. In 2022, Bener Meriah's IPS score will reach 1.6 and then increase to 1.84 in 2023. It is hoped that Bener Meriah Regency's IPS can increase again in 2024.
